We had a ford truck with a 6.6 ford six cylinder. It is about the same power wise as a 5.9 cummins. It had 5.80 or something like that gear ratio .my buddy who bought both trucks and then sold one to me. He swapped a rear out of a bus he bought that had an auto and 4.40 ratio and it really made a better truck out of it.
